Although we are a non-denominational Christian Church we use a traditional Methodist form of worship and practice the Baptism of Babies.
Baptism does not induct the child or adult into a denomination. Baptism is rather a dedication, blessing and commitment made for the baby by the parents to bring that child up in a Christian environment.
When the child is 10 years of age or older they are invited to study about our Church and form of Worship and then celebrate CONFIRMATION in the Church when their baptism is confirmed. They are asked to decide at that time if they wish to join the Church as a full member.
After Confirmation the child is invited to begin to partake of the bread and cup at our monthly Communion service. The Child may then also become an Acolyte and participate in the actual Worship Service and assist the Pastor.
Adults may request Baptism and/ or Confirmation at any time or at any age if they have not previously been Baptized and/or Confirmed. They may however become a full member of the Congregation by request.
If they have documentation on their prior Baptism and/or Confirmation they may present it. If they do not have such documentation they may profess their belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and request formal membership in the Church.
All Adults who wish to share Communion during such services are welcome to do so even if they are guests or not regular attendees of the Church.
